Privacy notice

Just Duel collects only the information needed to run challenges, accounts, email updates, judging, sponsorships, security, and aggregate measurement. Effective 24 August 2026.

Who controls the data

Automation Craft operates Just Duel. Privacy questions and requests go to support@justduel.lol.

What we collect

  • Account email, OTP security records, sessions, and self-declared X identity.
  • Participant and judge information, including private invitation email and public name, handle, optional portrait, and decisions.
  • Duel rules, URLs, events, public votes, follows, and user-authored content.
  • Sponsor buyer details, creative, payment identifiers and status. PayPal processes payment credentials.
  • Page views, clicks, country-level aggregate measurement, abuse signals, and operational logs.

Email choices

Duel updates require double opt-in and are separate from voting. Only confirmed followers receive lifecycle updates. Unsubscribe is immediate. A follower update may contain one clearly labeled duel sponsor. Authentication, judge, participant, payment, receipt, refund, security, and support emails contain no promotional placement.

Retention

Public duel records and decisions may remain as permanent history. Expired OTPs, raw delivery details, abuse signals, and operational logs are retained only as long as needed for security and service operation. Unconfirmed follows expire. Unsubscribed addresses remain on a suppression record only as needed to honor the choice. Payment records are retained for accounting, tax, dispute, and legal obligations.

Processors and transfers

Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, security, and measurement. Resend delivers email. PayPal processes sponsorship payments. GitHub supports source and deployment workflows. These providers may process data in other countries under their terms and safeguards.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from duel updates at any time. You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Some records may be retained for law, safety, disputes, or the integrity of a public duel history.
